What you'll need

  • 1 small green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 onion and 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 cup lower-sodium broth
  • Smoked turkey pieces or smoked paprika
  • Black pepper, thyme, and a splash of apple cider vinegar

How to make it

  1. Sauté onion and bell pepper in oil until softened. Add garlic and smoky seasoning.
  2. Add cabbage and broth, cover, and cook over low heat until tender.
  3. Finish with pepper and a splash of vinegar. Taste before adding any salt.
